Clearing 2025

What is Clearing?

Clearing opens on 5th July and offers a great opportunity to find a university place for September 2025. Managed by UCAS, Clearing connects students to courses that still have available spaces. You can apply through Clearing until 20th October.

You might be eligible for Clearing if:

  • You haven’t applied to university yet
  • You didn’t receive any offers, or you didn’t meet the conditions of your firm or insurance choices
  • You’ve changed your mind about your course or university
  • You’re applying after 30 June
  • You’ve declined your existing offer
  • You’ve done better than expected and want to explore courses with higher entry requirements

Whether you're applying for the first time or rethinking your plans, Clearing gives you the flexibility to find a course that fits your goals and circumstances.

Clearing is open to everyone – whether you're a UK or international student, applying straight from school or returning to education as a mature student (aged 21 or over).

What Our Students Say – NSS 2024 Results
Results from the 2024 National Student Survey (NSS), which is carried out by the Office for Students (OfS), showed high levels of satisfaction amongst students on our university-level courses.

For example;

    • 96% of our students said staff were good at explaining things
    • 94% of our students said staff often made the subject engaging
    • 93% said their course challenged them to achieve their best work
    • 92% of our students felt free to express their ideas and opinions
    • 92% of our students were positive that their course developed their knowledge and skills needed for the future

All of these scores are above the sector average for English Higher Education providers.
